AERIS
College students often manage chronic illnesses alone, which can feel isolating and overwhelming in a demanding academic environment. Aeris is an asthma emergency kit designed to make health needs visible rather than hidden, especially in situations where quick help may be required.
The kit uses clear visual cues, simple bystander instruction cards, emergency alerts, and a medical ID to support fast and confident response. Designed as a North Face–inspired concept, Aeris is positioned as a lifestyle product that clips onto a student’s backpack and carries essential supplies, bridging everyday carry with emergency readiness.
The Problem
Design Proposal:
Personalization: Aeris comes in four color variations to make the system more versatile, approachable, and engaging.
Two-part system: A home base compartment for storing non-daily asthma essentials, and a portable emergency kit that stays attached to a student’s backpack.
